Terms of Service

The agreement that applies when you use EraseText to remove text from images — your content, your responsibilities, and ours.

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and Morling, LLC, a Delaware LLC (“we,” “us”). EraseText — the website at erasetext.com, the editor, and the related API (together, the “Service”) — is operated and sold by Morling, LLC. By uploading an image, creating an account, or otherwise using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. What the Service does

EraseText removes text from images you provide and reconstructs the background underneath. The web editor is free to use and does not require an account. You may optionally sign in (email code or Google) to buy credits, subscribe, or use account features. We may add, change, or retire features over time.

2. Your content

You keep all rights to the images you upload and to the results you download. So that we can operate the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, process, and transmit your images solely to provide the requested edit — for example running text detection and the erase model, and storing the file briefly so you can download the result. On the standard web product, uploads and results are automatically deleted after one hour.

  • We do not sell your uploads.
  • We do not publish your images or use them in marketing without your explicit permission.
  • Accepted files are currently capped at 25 MB and 8000 × 8000 px.

3. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the images you upload and for how you use the results. You confirm that you own the image or have the necessary rights to edit it, and that your use is lawful. In particular, you must not use the Service to:

  • Remove watermarks, copyright notices, or attribution from work you do not have the right to alter.
  • Create or edit content that is illegal, infringes someone else's rights, or is intended to deceive or defraud.
  • Upload images you have no right to process — including other people's private or sensitive material.
  • Probe, overload, disrupt, or reverse engineer the Service, or access it by automated means outside the documented API.

4. Accounts

Sign-in uses a one-time email code or your Google account; there is no password to manage. You are responsible for keeping access to your email or Google account secure. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms.

You may permanently delete your account from Account → Settings, or by emailing us. Deletion cancels any open subscription immediately, removes your profile, credit balance, API keys, and sign-in, and is irreversible. Uploads and results already expire on their own schedule. Deleting your account does not reset free promotional credits (daily login, API trial, or referral) if you later create a new account with the same email. Deleting your account does not by itself issue a refund — request a refund separately under section 6 if you qualify.

5. Paid plans, credits, and billing

Erasing and editing in the web product remain free. Credits unlock full-resolution downloads and HTTP API usage. You may buy a one-time credit pack, a developer prepaid pack, or a Lite / Pro / Volume+ subscription (monthly or yearly). Developer prepaid packs are credited to a separate API balance that is spent by your API keys and cannot be used for full-resolution downloads; subscription and pay-as-you-go credits cover both. Prices are shown at checkout in USD; applicable tax may be added based on your location. Payments are processed by our payment provider; invoices are available from the customer portal.

  • Subscription credits refresh each calendar month for the life of the plan (yearly plans still grant monthly credit allotments).
  • Unused subscription credits do not roll over after the month ends unless we say otherwise on the pricing page.
  • You may cancel a subscription any time in Manage billing; access continues until the end of the period you already paid for.
  • Upgrades take effect when the change is confirmed; billing interval changes are handled in the customer portal.

6. Refunds

If a paid plan or credit pack is not what you expected, email [email protected] within 7 days of the charge and we will refund it. That is why the editor itself is free first — try the quality on your own images before you pay.

  • Refund requests should include the email on the account and the approximate date of the charge.
  • We may decline refunds for charges older than 7 days, or where we reasonably believe there is abuse (for example repeated buy-and-refund patterns).
  • Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals; it is not the same as a refund for the current period.
  • Deleting your account does not automatically refund past charges.

7. Intellectual property

The Service — including the site, the editor, the models, and all content we created — belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights in the Service other than the right to use it as described here.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service fast and available, but it is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis: we do not promise uninterrupted operation, and we may modify or discontinue parts of the Service. Material changes to paid offerings will be reflected on the pricing page and, where required, before your next purchase or renewal.

9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or business, arising from your use of the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim — which, for unpaid use of the free product, is zero. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use harms the Service or others. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property, paid-order records we must keep for tax or fraud prevention, and limitation of liability) survive termination.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. The date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be announced on the site; continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
